Covid-19 11/03/2020 11:32AM

From the National Muslim Burial Council United Kingdom.

We have the first MUSLIM death in Manchester due to Covid-19.
In Sha Allah tomorrow we will issue an A4 guidance.
What we have established is that there is a risk of contracting the virus from a deceased body but no restrictions at the moment on washing the body. You will have to ensure that you wear the necessary safety wear as per the public health guidance sent to you earlier this week.

What is being recommended is that after the Ghusl and Kafan you need to place the deceased in a sealed body bag.
We are waiting for further guidance as things are changing very rapidly.
