It’s a pain beyond measure, and knowing that even the Prophet (peace be upon him) endured such grief six times brings a profound sense of connection to his human experiences. The Prophet (peace be upon him) buried six of his seven children, and his strength and patience in such times stand as a timeless lesson for all of us.
May they find comfort in our faith and the hope of reunion in Jannah.
I know many of you in this group are already providing this service to the community free of charge. However, I request that all members provide this service without any cost to the parents.
For many families of seriously ill children, their deaths follow years of financial hardship due to the added costs of care. If you are a funeral director or mosque organisation and do not already have measures in place, please implement support for these families.
If you are organising the burial arrangements, you can claim the cost directly on the following link:
- Support for child funeral costs (Children’s Funeral Fund for England)
https://www.gov.uk/child-funeral-costs
The Children’s Funeral Fund for England can help to pay for some of the costs of a funeral for a child under 18 or a baby stillborn after the *24th week of pregnancy.
- It is not means-tested: what you earn or how much you have in savings will not affect what you get.
- The burial or cremation must take place in England.
What the fund covers. The Children’s Funeral Fund for England can help pay for the:
- Burial fees (*usually the cost is claimed by the local authority or private cemetery). Check with your cemetery for under 24 weeks if Free
